Chapter 12
I’ve gotten used to the hospital after a few days. I’m still not one-hundred percent Ok with the smells and the noise. It still reminds me of the school. I’ve had Natalie to keep me company during the day. The rest of the flock has been staying in a hotel. (Some place classy I’m sure considering the fact they have a dog with them and they won’t n be able to convince people totals a service dog now.) I wonder what’s wrong with Natalie.
Someone entered my room, “hello I am your doctor, (he said in a somewhat bored voice) I can happily to say that you will be able to leave shortly, and here is a prescription for some medication. You can get it exchanged at the pharmacy down the hall. “
“Thanks.” I said quietly.”
This is great that I’m getting out, but I’m really going to Miss Natalie. Maybe I can still see her some time, again. I went to go meet up with Max.
“Iggy! You can go now; the doctor came and told us.”
“OK, but can you get this prescription.”
“Sure,”
I went to go say bye to Natalie she told me her room number and taught me how to read it in brail. So as any blind bird kid would I stumbled around, looking for her room. So I get to what I think is it, except I hear a commotion inside I step into the doorway to hear beeping and yelling. A nurse grabbed me and pulled me out of the room.
“You can’t be in their right now.”
“What’s going on in there?”
“She’s fading.”
“No!!!”
There was a low beep; I heard a man step out.
“I’m sorry…….. we lost her.
I put my hands over my face. All I felt was anger and sorrow. No wonder she never told me what was wrong with her, she was really sick.
“No,” I groaned one more time.
Next I heard a loud group of noises and feet running!
“Iggy!!!”
